I recently had the pleasure of doing HIPAA training for Perry & Tyler Dental in Novato, CA. It’s always interesting to do this class with an office that has done IT with ACS for many years. There are a lot of wide eyes and shocked looks on faces when they realize all that we actually do for their practice.
Working with qualified, healthcare/dental specific IT will increase your overall HIPAA compliance, but that only addresses the technology aspect of compliance.
Even the best IT can still be circumvented with untrained and unchecked employees. This is why we do what we do with a comprehensive program addressing People, Process and Technology.
